Our Story

Caleb Weikert grew up in Waterloo, Iowa with a work ethic that started early, shoveling driveways and mowing lawns as a kid. At 12, he started helping his dad with line painting and saw an opportunity to serve people through pavement maintenance. In 2003, right out of high school, he launched Weikert Contracting.

For the next 16 years, Caleb ran every job himself, building a reputation one parking lot at a time. Today, the company has grown to a crew of 5 full-time employees and 4 part-time, serving businesses, municipalities, and property owners across Iowa and the Midwest. Most of our work still comes from customers who've been with us since the early years.

Our Journey

Company Milestones

2003

The Beginning

Caleb Weikert graduated high school and launched his own pavement maintenance business. First job: installing fire lane signs at the Altoona, Iowa Walmart.

2005

Sealcoating Added

Expanded services to include asphalt sealcoating and crack filling, becoming a more complete pavement maintenance provider.

2009

Snow & Ice Management

Began offering commercial snow and ice management services during the winter months, keeping clients covered year-round.

2011

First Road Striping Truck

Purchased the first dedicated road striping truck, opening the door to highway and municipal road painting contracts.

2018

First Employee

After running the business solo for 16 years, Caleb hired his first full-time employee — marking the start of building a dedicated crew.

2020

Fleet Expansion

Purchased the first brand-new road striping truck and continued growing the fleet to serve larger projects across Iowa and the Midwest.

Today

20+ Years Strong

A team of 5 full-time and 4 part-time employees with a fleet of 7 trucks, 7 parking lot striping machines, 3 road sweepers, 3 sealcoat rigs, and a hydrovac trailer — all owned and maintained. Serving Iowa and the Midwest from Cedar Falls.
